On the 5th Day label launches with debut release, "Curiosity" from Abstract Man
We're delighted to announce that as of the 2nd of February, the On the 5th Day label is officially live. The imprint will act as another means for us to share our love for music and bring the 5th Day sound to life. We have hugely exciting plans in the pipeline so watch this space!
For now, our first release is a four-track EP, including MIke Parker remix, from Abstract Man, representing the first chapter of the duo's creative journey.
"Curiosity" is available on vinyl and digital at the links below:

"With our first release, “Curiosity” finally out there - our humble creative contribution for the universe (made with love and, we won’t lie, a solid measure of sweat and tears), we naturally paused to reflect on the experience and the process which led us to where we are now. Working on the EP turned out to be an immense experience of growth and learning, one made entirely possible thanks to a simple curiosity which we felt and decided to honour… we were curious to see what would happen if we took our love for techno to the next level and bought our ideas to life as a pair, so we decided to take the plunge and see what would happen.
Coming out the other side, we’re now firm believers in the power of curiosity (which in its essence, is the very same as creativity). We believe that we owe it to ourselves to live life from a place of childlike curiosity – to explore, to pay attention to those little things and fleeting moments that catch our eye or ignite a feeling of intrigue or excitement inside – no matter how small or insignificant they may at first seem, for it is through honouring our curiosity that we open a door to our authentic self and inspiration can flow.
However, in order for that door to remain open, our fears and insecurities must pass through and be faced, not in battle where you’ll most likely end up persevering with your endeavours from a place of pain, but welcomed in conversation... with curiosity. We must make it our mission to quieten the internal noise – those voices of self-doubt and criticism or whatever they may be - so that curiosity can break through and thrive; for it is through curiosity, and courage, that transformation can occur, and we can move towards living a truly authentic life.
Thank you for the amazing support and encouragement so far."
